A Mighty Fortress Is our God is considered one of the most beautiful and inspiring hymns of all time.  Written in simple form by Martin Luther, it was later developed into a major theme for chorale by J.S. Bach.  Mendelssohn also used it for his Symphony #5, the "Reformation" symphony.  Cetrainly, Gary Dahl is in good company in carrying on the long tradition of alternative arrangements of this hymn. We hope you will enjoy his version for accordion, especially since this organ-like rendition is so well-suited for the instrument and yet so rarely heard on the smaller cousin of the large pipe organs on which this tune was so often heard.
