The Oregon Waltz is an arrangement of an old melody, the origin of which even Mr. Dahl doesn't know. However according to Gary Dahl's original manuscript, the original melody needed extensive melodic and harmonic corrections. Gary adds these thoughts about this arrangement: "The Oregon Waltz is a medium grade original for the old time waltz enthusiasts...it could also be used as a scandinavian style waltz." |
