     Accordion Masterworks Presents Joseph
                   Natoli & Richard Romiti
  (LP = Neofonic, 1972   CD = JANPress, 2000)
It is with special fondness that Joe Natoli remembers the events leading to this recording, because all four of the integral masters who helped with this recording are no longer with us: Mickey Bisilia, Tito Guidotti, Julio Giulietti, and Charles Magnante.  Without Mickey Bisilia's incredible vision and arranging capabilities, as well as his tireless dedication to the rehearsals with Joe Natoli and Richard Romiti, this compilation would never have gotten out of the starting gates.  Likewise, Tito Guidotti offered one of his most superb ballad arrangements, Autumn In New York, for the CD, as well as his expert advice on contents and performances.  Julio Giulietti was one of the few accordion manufacturers and publishers who donated money for free bass accordion recordings on his Neofonic label.  Many artists like Stephen Dominko, William Cosby, John Torcello, Joe Natoli, and Richard Romiti were very fortunate to have had Mr. Giulietti as an important benefactor in promoting the cause of the accordion and more importantly accordion artists.  And of course, Charles Magnante was present every step of the way during the final recording process and mastering.  We hope you will enjoy this recording (in either its vinyl LP or CD formats), since we believe some of the duet as well as the solo performances are unique and not likely to be heard on any other recording.
