Description:

Waltz For Ron, was written in memory of Ron Lankford in 2010. Ron Lankford from Roland Corporation, is one of those "once in a lifetime" people you might be lucky enough to meet who profoundly influences your life. The positive impact Ron had on me in the two short years I knew him is only tarnished by how suddenly he was taken from us in March 2010. Ron loved both acoustic and digital accordions and he loved what Roland was doing for the accordion. Ron was also very passionate about "passion in music." This little waltz is meant to be simple and elegant, like Ron, and is dedicated to his memory, but also filled with the passion that Ron so much appreciated about music.

The piece exists in the following formats, all sold on the JANPress web site:

  1. Accordion solo (easy) - for standard bass accordion
  2. Accordion solo (med difficulty) - with intro and ending material for free bass and the body of the piece for standard bass accordion.
  3. Accordion orchestra (med difficulty) - This version was arranged by the great Gene Van for accordion solo with accordion orchestra.

This version is an easier accordion solo version (#1 above).
