Traffic Snarl is one of a number of interesting and attractive novelette compositions written by Mickey Bisilia. Some of these pieces are in the more traditional novelette style of Deiro and Frosini, while others are more progressive and interject elements of jazz rhythms and harmonies. Each of these little gems can be used quite effectively for concert performance. However, since many of these novelettes traverse frequent key changes, and present new challenges around each turn, the composer also feels they can be used just as effectively as teaching pieces.
