Description:

Valarie Morris is one of the few composers/arrangers in our catalog for whom we also distribute many of her recorded compositions in sheet music format.  Two of our most popular items from Valarie are her Scaling the Accordion Books 1 & 2.   Valarie's compositions can be interpreted as natural extensions of her pedagogical books, in which she brings her dedicated and accessible approach to her creative oeuvre as well.  We think you will enjoy all of Valarie's sheet music and recordings and you can get three of the recordings here at JANPress!  See reeding between the lines, CircumVention, and  TransFormations below.

Music from Valarie's CDs has been aired on NPR's "All Things Considered".  Other airplay includes KPFA (Berkeley), KUSF (San Francisco), KZSU (Stanford), WLHU (Lock Haven, Pennsylvania), KUNM (Albuquerque, New Mexico), KTEQ, KKUP  (Cupertino), WGMU, WHUS (Connecticut), KFLR (Howell, Michigan), WRUV, KGRK, WXJM, WCBN, WRSU, and WUSM. 

Soundtracks for Board Stories, the popular surfing and snowboarding TV program, included 3 tunes from "TransFormations".  The programs aired on NBC Hawaii, Huntington Beach Cable (CA), Resort Sports Network (RSN), GAORA (Japan), and other worldwide TV stations. 

International airplay includes CJAM in Ontario; Canada, Bucuresti in Romania; London and Kingston, Ontario in Canada; Latvia; Russia; Brussels and Gent in Belgium; Toulouse, France; Viitasaari, Finland; Freudenstadt, Baiersbronn, Munich, Nordspessart, Bayersbronn, and Osnabruck in Germany; and Cortina D'Ampezzo, Rome, South Tyrol, and Torino in Italy!
