Gary A. Edwards was born in Spokane, Washington on 3/10/58.  He started playing string bass in the Spokane Symphony orchestra at age 18.  His first performance was Beethoven's Fifth Symphony and in the following year he performed in Beethoven's Ninth.

He attended school in Idaho and then transferred from Indiana University with a degree in Music Education, specializing in the opera orchestra in school.

Gary became a public school teacher of instrumental music from the 3rd to the 9th years and played bass in the Louisville Symphony Orchestra for two years.  Then, he joined the Peace Corps and went to Santiago, Chile where he started a 30 year plus career in Social Work.

During the past 42 years he has also performed in bands of all sizes from single to symphony and all styles from rock and country to classical and choral, with some musical comedy orchestral experience.

He has written most styles including rock, country, children's, classical, jazz, choral, gospel, Christmas Cantata and wrote a complete musical comedy, The Bureau-rats.  He's also written five other books and had thirty-seven articles published in computer magazines, primarily software reviews.
