The Frank Marocco Cassette Series

Turn Out the Stars (see tape contents below)
"This record features some of the jazz artists I have played live and/or recorded with on a recent tour in Europe.  Also included are two solo acoustic medleys.  The Hank Mancini medley begins with 'Charade', 'Mr. Lucky' (Mancini's signature composition), 'The Days Of Wine And Roses' ending with the samba 'Meglio Stasera' from 'The Pink Panther'.  'A' Train, 'Line for Art' (an original of mine), 'Blue Bossa' and 'How High the Moon' were recorded at a live concert in Germany at a summer jazz festival at which I was one of the featured performers.
...
On 'The Boy Next Door', 'Besame Mucho', and the beautiful Bill Evans ballad 'Turn Out the Stars', you will hear something probably never heard before:  two unusual jazz instruments, acoustic accordion and concertina.  The concertina player is from England, John Nixon, a virtuoso on this instrument, who can play classical music as well as jazz.  We had a wonderful time together both musically and socially.  I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised at the blending of these two instruments."
