YES! We feel the power of the Internet to reach millions of people globally in an instant is the best medium within which to launch the publishing company of the future. This is especially helpful with the distribution of accordion literature, because as you know many mainstream publishers have not been willing to "take a chance" on accordion literature since it did not spell instant profits for them. Using older printing technologies too was a drawback since they had to print many hundreds or thousands of copies of a particular work in order to save on printing costs, hoping that they would quickly be able to sell off this stockpile of prints. JANPress on the other hand can let people shop on-line (seeing at least the first page of a work), then satisfy customer orders by printing copies "on demand" at the time a particular piece is requested. The resulting benefits then are a more immediate accessibility and a much larger distribution channel than if these pieces were to be printed and published via conventional publishing techniques. No, but you can at least see the first page of each piece on-line and download it as a GIF file if you so choose. Most Windows-based browsers will support you doing a right mouse click on the image. You will then be prompted with a selection which includes "View this image ('name'.GIF)". If you click on that selection, the entire image will be displayed alone on the page, at which point you can simply print it from your browser. This provides the user with the ability to quickly try out a little of the composition or arrangement before actually committing to purchase the piece. It's actually quite easy and explained in detail on our Get Published link above. Any one of our web pages (including this one) has a selection menu at the bottom that contains the "Submissions" link. Just click on it and you will be there. It is our goal to do so. However, we are searching for a viable ISP that will allow the inclusion of Real Audio, MP3, and other formats on their servers. Not all of them do and our current ISP does not allow storage of those file types on their servers. As soon as we do find a compatible ISP that will allow these files, we hope to put our entire catalog in audio format. We believe it is much easier to shop for music and understand what you are buying when you can get immediate aural feedback on some of the music pages the customer is viewing on our site. |
